E03

Is there an E03 error code displaying on your Lay-Z-Spa pump? This means the ambient air temperature is too low.

If you're trying to setup up your Lay-Z-Spa in colder months or it has been outside unused for some time, it is likely to be too cold and will not work until it has warmed up.

Tip 1:

  • Disconnect the pump from your Lay-Z-Spa and bring it indoors to warm up for 2-3 hours.

Tip 2:

  • Disconnect the pump from your Lay-z-Spa and lay it on its back with the pipes facing upwards
  • Pour hot water (not boiling) into the water inlet pipes and allow it to sit there for a few minutes.
  • Tip out the water and repeat again.

Once the pump has warmed up you can re-connect and the error code will no longer show. Be aware that if the temperature outside is cold, don't leave there pump unused for more than a few minutes or the code may reappear.

If the above does not work, try a thermal reset procedure:
  1. Turn Pump On
  2. Press Test – either on the PRCD or on the pump screen display
  3. Turn plug off and remove from socket
  4. Plug back in and turn on
  5. On the PRCD (black box) press: Reset → Test → Reset.
  6. Hold down the On / Off button on the pump for 5 seconds.
  7. Press thermal reset button (See picture for location of reset button on the final page)
  8. Press heater button – pump should be working with no error codes.
