What is Lay‑Z‑Spa EnergySense®?
EnergySense® is a pioneering award-winning inflatable hot tub development designed for maximum heat retention.
The energy‑saving insulating inflatable hot tub material comprises a layer of synthetic fibre that acts as a thermal barrier when enclosed in Lay‑Z‑Spa's tough and robust triple-ply TriTech® material. Energy-saving inflatable hot tub technology
EnergySense® thermal insulation can be found fully integrated in selected Lay-Z-Spa hot tubs and the Lay-Z-spa Thermal Covers.
In both individual scenarios, this technology helps the hot tub to be up to 40% more energy efficient by preventing heat loss so it then requires less energy to maintain temperature. This thermal heat retention also means less energy is required to heat up a Lay-Z-Spa from cold and helps it heat quicker.
If a Lay-Z-Spa with integrated EnergySense® is used with the addition of a thermal cover it is possible to achieve over 60% better energy-efficiency that a standard inflatable hot tub.
I'm completely surprised at how much cheaper it is to run. From my smart meter, I'd say its between 50-75p per day!
Does seem reasonably efficient and seems to retain its temperature pretty well. Definitely a big improvement over our old hot tub.
